Save the date for our Fall Blood Drive : October 11th

• Poster Making – Friday September 27th. Meeting in the cafeteria right after school. Making a poster counts as a half hour of service for the fall blood drive

• Share a Poster on Instagram – Post your own or a poster we provide the weekend prior to blood drive.

• Blood Drive Sign up Opportunity – 30 minutes of service during lunch Station in the cafeteria to sign up community members for the blood drive. Week of the blood drive (Oct. 7-10) You can sign up for multiple shifts to get hour requirement during your lunch time.

Semester 1 Volunteer Hour Requirements

• 1 hour at 2 out of 3 NHS events: 
  • Blood Drive
  • Food Drive
  • Coffeehouse
• 10 total hours
• 15 total hours if on probation
• Due January 19th at 11:59 pm

Missed the Summer Hours Deadline?

• You still need to turn them in! Better late than none…
  • Link to submit Summer hours will be reopened soon! 
• Semester 1 hours will be due January 19th at 11:59
  • Link to log hours will be up by Friday! 
• Failure to submit hours and late hours result in probation… 

What is Probation?

• A warning given when not all NHS requirements are met
  • Failure to attend meetings 
  • Incompletion of hours
  • Late service hours
  • Grade requirements to be in NHS are not met at the end of each semester (3.65 gpa)
• Steps in the probation process: 
  • Warning is distributed in the form of a probation at the first failure to uphold requirements
  • 5 additional hours are required
  • If the event that caused you to go on probation takes place again then expulsion from NHS will take place
